Meet the committee behind our club
Lisa Spence – Chairperson
Lisa is the chairperson of FWHG and a long-standing member of the riding club. A local coach holding a BHSI qualification, she is often found in the arena, sharing her expertise with riders of all levels. Since 2013, she has been the proud proprietor of Hemps Green Equestrian LTD and, in September 2023, partnered with Flitch Way Riding Club to expand activities and encourage riding school members to compete in teams. Lisa regularly attends qualifiers and championships, either competing on her main horse, Heaven, or accompanied by her cocker spaniel, Sweep.

Katie Pittaway – Area Rep.
Katie has been actively involved with Riding Clubs for many years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the committee. In addition to serving as treasurer for the ERCLC (Area 8 committee), where she excels in her role, Katie is also an official steward for Riding Club qualifier events and plays a key role in organizing and running these shows. She is currently bringing along a promising young horse and is excited to enjoy their journey together through the Riding Club.
Sydney Hockney – Team Manager/Website/Social Media
Sydney is a talented local event and Pony Club rider, having competed up to the 100cm level. Though new to the Riding Club, she is thoroughly enjoying the warm and supportive atmosphere created by the committee and fellow members. Currently studying for an Equine degree, Sydney brings not only her riding experience but also valuable IT skills and a broad range of equine knowledge to the team.
Kayleigh Robertson – Secretary
Kayleigh Robertson is the dedicated secretary of our riding club, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. A lifelong equestrian, she has been riding since she was little and now shares her beloved horse, Lara. Whether organising events or lending a helping hand around the yard, Kayleigh’s passion for horses and the club shines through in everything she does.

Dawn Moffat – Safeguarding Officer/Health and Safety
Dawn is the club’s Safeguarding Officer, responsible for overseeing health and safety matters within the Riding Club. She has been partnered with her horse, Star, for the past eight years, and together they have enjoyed many aspects of club life. Dawn has participated in a wide range of activities and is grateful for the opportunities the Riding Club has provided, allowing her to achieve things she never thought possible while having a great time along the way.

Kizzy Smith
Kizzy is a talented local event rider with experience producing young event horses and competing up to Intermediate and 2* level. Having grown up through Pony Club, she now coaches for both Pony Club and a highly respected local coach. With her extensive knowledge and passion for the sport, Kizzy is excited to bring her expertise to the Riding Club and be an active part of the community!
